Today, on December 17, the awarding ceremony for the participants of the Olympiad was held at the magnificent "Youth Palace" located in the historic city of Samarkand. During the ceremony, various processes were carried out.

The awarding ceremony was attended by esteemed guests including the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Inoyatov Amirillo Shodievich; the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Tashkulov Abdugadir Khamidovich; the rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Rizaev Jasur Alimdjanovich; the rector of the Abu Ali Ibn Sino State Medical University of Tajikistan, Gulzoda Makhmadshokh Kurbonali; the rector of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Shklyaev Alexey Evgenevich; the rector of the National Medical University S.D. Asfendiyarov of Kazakhstan, Shoranov Marat Edigeevich; the rector of the Tashkent State Dental Institute, Khaidarov Nodir Kadyrovich; CEO of France's "HRV-simulation" COSSON Arnaud Valery, as well as medical workers and approximately 100 observers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

The Olympiad saw the participation of about 3,000 students online and approximately 400 students in person, guided by around 130 professors and teachers from a total of 75 higher medical schools. The event encompassed innovative scientific projects, start-up projects, projects on fundamental clinical sciences, scientific developments of young students, and approximately 75 disciplines that took part in the first and second stages of the selection processes.

The students from CENTRAL ASIAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY "MERIDIAN" actively participated in these processes, and 8 of our students were recognized as the best in 11 absolute nominations at the III International Olympiad "Samarkand-2020," receiving diplomas of international standard.

The awarding processes of the III International Olympiad "Samarkand-2020" have concluded. We express our sincere gratitude to all our students who participated in the Olympiad, as well as the university management, professors, faculty members, deans, vice-deans, students' parents, university students, and the medical team of the "MERIDIAN" clinic, who supported and welcomed them throughout the event.
